TRTO Encouragement Campaign:Day 5

Dear God’s Beloved One ,

Are you in agreement with God’s promises? Get in agreement with God about the promises he has for your life .

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “YES!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means”Yes”) ascends to God for his glory

2 Corinthians 1:20 -NLT

TRTO Encouragement Campagin :Day 4

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Often when I travel, I have a tendency to over pack.  I try to make sure that I am prepared for every possible scenario that may take place.  The result is an overstuffed suitcase with many items that are unnecessary for my journey.   The suitcase is so full of things I do not need that when I arrive at my destination I find that I have forgotten to pack essential items.  That is how many of us are traveling on this journey we call life.  We fill our lives with things that are not essential and forsake those things that are necessary for abundant living.  My relationship with Jesus Christ is a necessity.  It has not always been that way but now I cannot go a day without seeking Him.  Don’t crowd your life with a bunch of trivial activities that will stress you out.  Try filling your day with Jesus because He is essential.

Lovingly,

Sha

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 3

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Recently, I began to reflect upon the time I spend with God in prayer.  There are times when I don’t feel like I am doing my best in my relationship with God.  Some days, at best, he gets to spend 15 minutes with me “yapping” the entire time about what I need for Him to do on my behalf.  If God were my physical husband He would equate this to nagging.  So on more days than not, I nag God.  I nag Him about my finances, I beg for things I don’t need, I complain, then if it’s a good day I will beseech Him on behalf of other people.  That does not sound like quality time to me.  In essence, I am shortchanging God in our relationship.  I forget to tell Him how much I value the relationship and the time He dedicates to just being with me.  He overlooks my flaws and loves me even more granting me renewed grace and mercy.  I don’t want to spend our time together “yapping” or “nagging” but I would like to spend time with Him just enjoying His presence.  Take time today to evaluate the quality time you spend with God.  Listen to yourself as you enter His presence in prayer.  Be sure to let God know how special He is to you and that you appreciate your relationship with Him.

 Lovingly,

Sha

TRTO Encouragement Campaign:Day 2

Dear God’s Beloved One,

One thing that I love about God is that He takes you where you are and fixes you up. Colossians 2:11 says

When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual  circumcision- the cutting away of your sinful nature”

Colossians 2:11 NLT

This helps me to remember that those things that I struggle with to make my life line up with the Word of God is being worked out in my spiritual nature. Soon you will be able to see the change in my response, belief and faith. The same can be said for a new believer. Today they may struggle with addiction but when they trust Jesus, little by little you will begin to see a change in their life. The change happens because Christ is cutting away the sinful nature in that person. You don’t have to “get right” before you come to Jesus. When you come, He will do the rest .

Be encourage and be blessed

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 1

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Our encouragement campaign is kicking off with a great verse. Be blessed and encouraged!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
–Matthew 11:28-30

TRTO 30 Day Encouragement Campaign

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Long time no see! Its been a full three months since we’ve last talked. In those months we have had time to think and reflect on things that could best help you in your Christian journey. One thing that we are looking to do is provide 30 days of encouragement. We are taking the next thirty days, starting from September,16 to post scripture, quotes and topics that are going to help you get closer to God. So instead of 2 post a month you are now receiving 30 posts of encouragement. Now I’m not going to be taking on this feat by myself. I will have a guest writer by the name of Sha. She brings new insight and a fresh view of God’s word to share with you. I hope you will join us as we strive to encourage you in God’s word!

Love,
L
