TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 22

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Often we try to live up to others expectations.  We stress ourselves out trying to craft ourselves into what our parents, spouses, siblings, bosses, children or friends want us to be. Our lives become one big production where the characters that we play change with every new scene. It is often after we have hit rock bottom that we find the people that we have become are not people that we like or ever wanted to be. God has taken the time to carefully craft each individual for divine purpose.  If you fail to live up to your divine purpose to pursue someone else’s desire for you then you have wasted your life.  Take careful inventory of your life to determine if the life you are living is fulfilling your divine purpose or being wasted on meaningless pursuits.

Lovingly,

Sha

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 21

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Do you have a limited view of God?  If your view of God is limited (meaning you put him in a box of what he can and will do for you ) ,then you run the risk of cutting off your blessings. With God all things are possible . Open your eyes and see the possibilities

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 20

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Today  let’s reflect on a scripture.

And  this same God  who takes care of me  will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19 NLT

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 19

Dear God’s Beloved One,

“Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.” —Genesis 11:31 (NIV)

Terah, Abram’s father, began a journey he never completed.  I know many of you reading this may ask why that fact would be important when his son would make a covenant with God that He continues to honor today.  Believers are beneficiaries of the promises made to Abram in the book of Genesis. However, I was vexed to find in Genesis 11:31 that Abram’s father began on a quest and ended with him settling in a place far from his intended destination.  Many people settle in their pursuit of a fulfilling life.  We settle for jobs we hate. We settle for homes that we don’t like. We settle for unfulfilling relationships. This becomes a life pattern and infiltrates every facet of our human existence. I don’t know what led Terah to want to leave his homeland with some of his family but I know he got to a place (Haran) where he decided not to go any further. He found some comfort in Haran that made him forgo his destiny. I am afraid many of us will find at the end of our lives that we have settled and have forgone our destinies. This blog has become documentation of my unwillingness to settle for just hearing and reading about God.  As much as I love to hear powerful testimonies of God’s power and provision, I want to render my own testimonies. I want to believe God like Abraham believed God. I don’t want my faith to “max out” at mustard seed level, although it is enough to get the job done. There is more to God and I want to experience Him for myself. I don’t want to settle for a casual relationship with God that is expressed on Sundays at 10am.  What about you? Have you looked back at your life and found that you have settled for the life that you now live? Have you found that your relationship with God is not really much of a relationship? Do not become complacent with your life and relationship with God. Complacency equals death. Terah died in the place where he settled. Many of us will die not ever knowing the beautiful and wonderful things God wants to do in and through us because we settle. Well let me encourage you to do as Abram does in Genesis 12 and “go the distance”. Begin with a firm commitment to abandon settling. In fact, banish that word from your vocabulary.

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 18

Dear God’s Beloved One,

The love that God has for you is so great that He would leave the crowd to find you .

“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!
Luke 15:4-7 NLT

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 17

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Reflect on how glorious  and loving God is in  Psalms 8. Be blessed.

O Lord, our Lord,     how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.     Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes,     to still the enemy and the avenger.

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,     the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him,     and the son of man that you care for him?

Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings[b]     and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;     you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen,     and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,     whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

O Lord, our Lord,     how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Psalms 8(ESV)

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 16

Dear God’s Beloved One,
Sometimes in this walk, we can believe that God does not see us through the millions and millions of people on this earth. We see other people around us be blessed beyond measure but for some reason God just does not hear us or see us. This is so not true! One of God’s name is El Roi which means “The God who sees me”. No matter where you are God sees you . He know what you are doing, how you are feeling and even what you are thinking. You may not see him now but take comfort in knowing that He sees you.

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 15

Dear God’s Beloved One,

“Order my steps” has been sung across the world many times over. It is considered a classic in the gospel music world. But when I read the words of the lyrics, it reads more like a prayer. I’ve posted the lyrics below for your reading. Today ask God to order your steps in His Word.

Love,
L

Order My Steps

Order my steps in your word dear lord… Lead me guide me everyday Send your anointing Father I pray Order my steps in your Word Please, order my steps in your Word

Humbly I ask thee, teach me Your will While You are working help me be still Though Satan is busy, God is real Order my steps in Your Word Please, order my steps in your word

Bridle my tongue, let my words edify Let the words of my mouth be acceptable in Thy sight Take charge of my thoughts both day and night Order my steps in Your Word Please, order my steps in Your Word

Lord, I just want to walk worthy, my calling to fulfill Please order my steps, Lord And I’ll do Your blessed will The world is ever changing But You are still the same Please order my steps, Lord I’ll bless your name

Order my steps in Your Word Order my tongue in Your Word Guide my feet in Your Word Wash my heart in Your Word Show me how to walk in Your Word Show me how to talk in Your word When I need a brand new song to sing Show me how to let Your praises ring In Your word in Your Word Please order my steps in Your Word

TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 14

Dear God’s Beloved One,

There was a pastor and his wife that liked to have dinner parties. Their congregation was small but they extended invitations to one family at a time to lend their undivided attention to each person. The pastor’s wife would spend almost an entire day preparing to receive guests. She was careful not to overlook any details. She used her best china, silver serving utensils and crystal glasses. When guests would arrive they would find a dinner table befitting royalty with its elegant table settings and delightful foods. God has spared nothing in the preparation of His love letter to you and I. It is a lot like the dinner table filled with delicious foods. Everyday that you wake up is an invitation from God to feast at His table. He has gone to great lengths to prepare meals for His beloved children to dine upon. So what are you waiting for? Accept His invitation and feast upon the word of God.

Lovingly,

 Sha
