TRTO Encouragement Campaign: Day 13

Dear God’s Beloved One,

Growing up, I fondly remember a game called “Follow the leader”. Everyone wanted to be a leader and take your peers on an adventure. That was fun as a little kid but as I got older I discovered I really disliked following other people. I wanted to make my own decisions and decide where I wanted to go. After all, I was intelligent and equally independent and felt that no one could possibly lead me any place I REALLY wanted to go. However, I have learned to love following someone else when I entered a relationship with Jehovah-Raah, The Lord my shepherd. It is in following Him that I have found all the things I had been searching for. King David says very eloquently in Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want” (NIV). My Jehovah-Raah does what any good shepherd would do and leads me to peaceful, lush pastures where I find exactly what I need to sustain me. It is under the careful watch of my shepherd that I am secure and find provision and protection. I never have to worry about being led to a place that is unfamiliar and dangerous. He can be trusted I assure you of that. So, who is leading you? Parents? Spouse? Job? Friends? President? Put your trust in a proven source. Give God the opportunity to lead you. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Lovingly,
Sha
